Oven Fries

Homemade Oven Fries
Yield: Serves 4

4-5 russet potatoes (peeled)
salt and pepper
1/4 cup vegetable oil or olive oil

1. Wash and peel your potatoes. Slice them into fries and place into a large bowl. Fill your bowl with warm water and let sit for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes, drain your water and pat your potato "fries" down with a clean paper towel.
2. On a large cookie sheet, drizzle your oil. Place your potato "fries" on the cookie sheet and move them around in the oil until coated. Crack pepper and sprinkle salt over your potatoes.
3. Bake at 450 F for 15-20 minutes. Pull your fries out of the oven and use a large spatula to flip or rotate your fries. Put them back in the oven for another 15-20 minutes until golden brown. Serve right away and enjoy!
